You notice when you drink the other drinks (pop, juice, alcohol), we tend to look for water don't we? Sugary and salty substance do wreak havoc on our divine body over time and our starts to talk to us:

So we really need to cut back on the flavored drinks:
Drinking water keep us from dehydration. Muscle cramps. It also help regulate bowel movements. Drink enough water will also give you energy and you could get a good night sleep
